The Stadium Medical Services Working Team met at the National Sports Center on 14th May 2010.
The team’s objective is to organize medical care and emergency interventions at Stadiums during the 2012 UEFA European Football Championship. It is one of the units accountable to the UEFA EURO 2012™ Medical Committee. The goal of the meeting was to discuss preparations by the Host Cities of their medical services and infrastructure at Stadiums.
Medical care and emergency services are crucial elements in preparations for the championship in which hundreds of thousands of fans from all over the world will participate. In accordance with UEFA requirements and the best practices around the world, every Stadium must offer medical services which are linked with an assigned hospital and the entire emergency organisation of the city.
Participating in the meeting were the National Coordinator for Medical Care representing company PL.2012 and Medical Coordinators from Host Cities. The next meeting has been scheduled for July 2010 at the Stadium in Poznań.
