Signing the agreement for constructing the Stadium IT network

On 7th July 2010, the National Sports Center signed an agreement with NextiraOne for constructing the IT network for the National Stadium in Warsaw.

Under the agreement, NextiraOne will provide, install and launch active hardware and security components, and implement the system and tool software of the IT network for the emerging facility. They will also conduct project and programming work.

NextiraOne will provide training for system users, current support and maintenance. The state-of-the-art IT network will be an efficient, flexible and at the same time a safe and reliable communication framework for applications responsible for surveillance, video transmission, support of industry automation systems and security of the facility.

It will also be the basic medium for ensuring voice connection, data transfer and access to the Internet. The project cost amounts to over 35,250,000 PLN gross.

“Creating the IT network for such a large and prestigious facility as the National Stadium in Warsaw is a huge undertaking. Therefore we looked for an experienced and comprehensive partner. In the unlimited tender, the offer of NextiraOne met all our high demands and was the most attractive one in terms of finance”, said Robert Wojtaś, Vide-President of the Management Board of the National Sports Center.

Under the agreement, the IT network for the National Stadium in Warsaw will be completed in February 2011.

The unlimited tender for providing, installing and launching active hardware, implementing the system and tool software and conducting project and programming work in order to build the IT network for the National Stadium in Warsaw was announced on 31st March 2010.

On 13th May 2010, 6 offers were submitted with price offers ranging from 32,357,186.48 PLN gross to 48,652,380.00 PLN gross. On 26th May 2010, the offer of NextiraOne Polska Sp. z o.o. was selected as the most best one. During the tender proceedings, three appeals were lodged: two appeals from Telekomunikacja Polska S.A. – rejected in their entirety by the National Chamber of Appeals on 6th May 2010 (KIO/634/10) and rejected in their entirety by the decision of the National Chamber of Appeals of 17th June 2010 (KIO/1091/10), and one appeal from Qumak-Secom S.A. – rejected in its entirety by the National Chamber of Appeals on 17th June 2010 (KIO/1092/10).
