660 days of construction at the National Stadium!

On July 28, it has been precisely 660 days of construction at the National Stadium in Warsaw. Everything is going according to the plan.

On completion of the assembly of the main steel structure, at the end of the week, the next stage will follow, involving joining the strut-stay sets, the ‘ones’, at three points around the Stadium shell simultaneously for essential structural safety. Only a few components of the reinforced concrete structure are left in section one to be completed next week. This will make up the entire agenda until the assembly of precast stands is completed.

Assembly of the precast stand components has been completed on the western side of the Stadium. At the same time, the first areas for tensioning the steel cables on the roof are being prepared. The cables have to be laid on the stands and joined together before the roof structure is lifted. Installation of the precast stands will be completed in mid August.

Construction of the heating connection is being performed by SPEC and the electrical equipment to provide power supply to the National Stadium is installed by RPZ STOEN. The electric power supply to the Stadium from the source will begin at the end of October beginning November. Installation of the plumbing, mechanical and electrical systems is progressing together with the finishing work, including those on the glass and aluminum facade, the first glazing of which has started on the south-east side of the Stadium shell.
