The assembly of the reinforced concrete columns of the cascade stairs structure started last week at the building site of the National Stadium in Warsaw. Assembly of the first load-bearing beam of the cascade flight has been completed. Acceptance inspections of prefabricated components, both for the stands and for other components, such as the cascade stairs, made by various suppliers in Poland, are being conducted rapidly.

Work has begun on equipping the high-voltage stations (district power supply points) owned by RWE STOEN. The shielding for high-voltage cables which will supply power to the National Stadium are being laid now. The investor for this work is RWE STOEN. The importance of this part in the construction is that its completion will allow the supply of electricity to the Stadium starting in the 4th quarter of this year.
The installation of equipment in the heat center has started. The center is one of the largest facilities of this type in Warsaw, as the heat demand of the Stadium will amount to 14 MW of thermal energy.
The reinforced concrete foundations for the steel structure columns are in various stages of completion. Fourteen have been completed, a steel foundation base plate has been installed on them, the anchors have been pre-stressed, and they are ready for assembly of the columns. The columns are to be erected at the end of this month.
Shipments of elements of the steel structure from Italy are ongoing. So far, the base parts, 60 out of 72 columns, and 55 out of 72 inner ring trusses have been delivered.
Assembly of the prefabricated stands as well as finishing work and work on the water supply, wastewater collection, ventilation, and electric systems on the lowest levels of the Stadium are continuing.
