Finishing works at the National Stadium

Finishing and installation work continues on all levels (-4 to +4) of the National Stadium in Warsaw.

Installation of angle-braces units and guy-wires continues. These units connected to pillars will create pylons to which the cables of the roof steel construction will be attached. 13 of these units have already been installed.

The Stadium pitch and stands are being prepared for the ropes to be stretched. 30% of these cables for the construction of the future roof have already been made ready. The Cegielski production plant in Poznań is manufacturing a 70-meter high central spire and its surrounding structure to attach cables and install the storage area for the retractable roof and construction for the 4 giant screens. The entire spire construction will be delivered in September 2010.

On the top and lower promenades, the basic facilities for small restaurants and toilets are being built.

There are almost 2,000 people working at the National Stadium!
