On August 30th, 2010, 20 police officers from the District Police Headquarters Warsaw 7 visited the National Stadium construction site of in Warsaw. It was their first visit to the Stadium.
"We had the opportunity to hear and see the current progress of work at the site of this amazing facility and about its future," said 2nd Inspector Dariusz Pergoł, Commissioner of the District Police Headquarters Warsaw 7.
"Cooperation with the National Sports Center resulted in the idea of arranging a visit of police officers and civil employees of the Police Headquarters to the National Stadium construction site which has been growing before our eyes in our district of the city. The initiative was welcomed positively and arranged quickly. It gave us a strange feeling standing there on the Stadium pitch in our safety vests and helmets. Here in less than 2 years the opening game of UEFA EURO 2012™ will be played," Inspector Dariusz Pergoł said.
All the visitors were very impressed with what they saw at the National Stadium.
