The last element of the roof steel construction has been installed

After closing the inner ring truss, which marked the end of work on the main steel construction, the process of constructing the roof of the National Stadium in Warsaw entered into a new phase.

The work on connecting the guy-wires has begun. The guy-wires are approx. 60-metre-long elements of the steel construction, each transported to the construction site in two 30-meter-long parts. These elements will be connected at the site at specially prepared stands located around the Stadium.

Guy-wires, angle braces and the already installed columns will form 72 pylons creating elements to support the entire steel cable construction of the Stadium roof.

Along side the most important construction work on installing the facility roof, intensive work is being conducted on installing ready-made elements of the stands and cascade stairs. Finishing and installation work is also being carried out at levels from -4 to +1. Installation of the aluminum and glass elevation and the first 8 passenger lifts continues.
