July 1 this year the last prefabricate stand numbered 2192 was produced in the Pekabex plant in Poznan for the National Stadium in Warsaw.
At present the installation of prefabricated elements at the construction site of the National Stadium in Warsaw is 80% complete and is scheduled to be finished this month. In the middle of July the installation of the main steel construction – comprised of 72 pillars and 72 elements of the inner ring truss – will also be complete. Up to date, 60 pillars and 54 elements of the inner ring truss are complete.
Installation of other elements, such as struts and stay cables, is being prepared. These elements are to be installed when the main steel construction is complete. Stay cables are the longest elements, 58 meters in length and they have to be welded together close to where they are to be installed. This work is scheduled to start in a few days.
The construction site has also been made available for SPEC to make heating service connections for the National Stadium. This work is scheduled to begin on July 1 and continue for approx 2 months.
Preparations are in progress to accept materials for the fixed and retractable roof membrane. The contractor has presented samples of the materials and their technical specification.
