Final work on the installation of the metal roof structure at the building site of the National Stadium in Warsaw continues. All reinforced concrete foundations for the steel columns are already at their different construction stages. The preparation of 14 columns has been fully completed. Their steel bases have been located and are ready for the columns to be installed.
Column installation should begin at the end of this month. Other elements of the steel construction continue to be transported from Italy. All bases, 58 of 72 columns and 39 of 72 elements of the ring truss have been delivered. Installation of reinforced concrete columns, which create a prefabricated construction for the cascade stairs, was started today. 18 flights of stairs will enable spectators to reach the upper promenade where there are entrances to the upper ring of stands.
3 out of 18 flights of stairs will be moving stairs, which will allow spectators to reach the upper part of the promenade located approx. 25 meters above the future pitch. Installation of prefabricates for the construction of stands is still in progress. Finishing work, installation of the water and sewage system and of electrical wiring at the lowest Stadium levels continues. The construction management has decided that construction work will now continue seven days a week in three shifts. The tendering procedure for selecting the IT network provider for the National Stadium in Warsaw has commenced.
